Runneth Over Embroidery

Runneth Over Embroidery

Sometimes in the morning,

when shadows are deep

I lie here beside you,

just watching you sleep

And sometimes I whisper,

what I 'm thinking of…

My cup runneth over with love!

A song written by Tom Jones, originally performed by Ed Ames, but brought to another level entirely by the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. Her version of “My cup runneth over with love” from the most beautiful album, Rare & Unreleased Recordings From The Golden Reign Of The Queen Of Soul inspired this embroidery. An abundance of love in the stars, with a crescent moon and cowrie shell blessings at the bottom.

I did my best to match real colors to screen colors, but the second photo shows colors more accurately.

100% cotton in a pale tan framed in a wood embroidery hoop, 5.5” in diameter.

In only a moment,

we both will be old

We won't even notice

the world turning cold

And so, in this moment,

with sunlight above

My cup runneth over with love
